Sirous Ghayeghran was a highly respected and widely recognized Iranian footballer. He gained considerable renown as the captain of Iran’s national football team. He is particularly renowned for his exceptional contributions to Malavan Bandar Anzali Football Club, where he earned the status of a legendary player. Ghayeghran’s fame extended beyond the confines of the football field, making him one of the most celebrated icons in the city of Bandar Anzali. Tragically, on 7 April 1998, during a holiday in Norouz, Ghayeghran and his son lost their lives in a devastating collision with a truck.
