Situated on the outskirts of Aq Qala, a city in Golestan province, Mal Bazaar is a well-known hub where ranchers gather every week to sell their cattle.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, horse riding events were required to take place without spectators in order to comply with health guidelines. Despite the official restrictions that barred followers and fans of horse riding from participating in competitions, they found a way to gather at Mal Bazaar and engage in horse betting activities, defying the regulations in place.
