Tehran Teyf is a softball team that was established in 2005. Initially, the team operated under different names such as Tehran B, Alborz, and Azarakhsh. However, since 2013, it has been known as Tehran Teyf in the national softball league. The women’s team consists of 20 players, most of whom are university students. Tehran Teyf has achieved the title of Iranian women’s softball league champion twice, and four of its players are members of Iran’s women’s softball national team. Softball, a popular variant of baseball, is widely played, particularly in the United States. Some people find similarities between softball and certain Iranian local games like Alak Dolak. Softball fields are smaller compared to baseball fields, and the sport is predominantly played by women. Notably, no Iranian adult softball team has ever participated in international tournaments.
