He was born in Tehran in 1979 and embarked on his photography career in 2008. With over 15 years of experience, he has become a highly regarded photojournalist and documentary photographer. Based in Tehran, Iran, he has had the privilege of capturing significant moments at various global events, particularly in the realm of sports, where he specializes in storytelling through his lens. His work focuses on shedding light on untold sports narratives that often go unnoticed by mainstream media.
Over the years, Farzam has been an active participant in major international events, including the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Paralympic Games in Rio, Olympic Games for University Students in Taipei and Goungzhou, FIFA World Cup in Moscow, and the World Handball Championship in Qatar. Through his keen eye and technical expertise, he has successfully documented the behind-the-scenes moments and the emotional essence of these sporting spectacles.
Farzam's dedication and talent have been widely recognized in the photography community. In 2019, he secured the third position in the Sony Photography Competition and was honored with the prestigious Photography Award from the Norwegian Museum.
