Over the years, many athletes found their recognition in sports fields and transcended it to socio-political awareness. From Sócrates and
Javid Nikpour, born 1976 in Tehran, Iran, is a documentary and sports photographer focusing on less-noticed stories, narrating them from a personal perspective. Serving as the photo manager for Iranian photographers in several Olympic and Asian Games, he holds an Art first-grade diploma, equivalent to a PhD in Art. In 2016, he founded Podium Photos Group, emphasizing personal narrative and sport documentary photography, particularly capturing social issues within the world of sports.
